Eileen Kelly spent eight years as a mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate lawyer with the global law firm Baker & McKenzie. She worked on a wide range of business transactions for both large and midsized corporations and advised on securities law compliance matters for exchange-traded companies. She subsequently served as assistant general counsel for a publicly traded company, Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group, Inc., where she was responsible for securities law filings as well as general corporate and transactional matters.

She then returned to Baker & McKenzie in a knowledge management position for the U.S. mergers and acquisitions practice group. In that role, she developed model precedents with commentary, advanced M&A group efforts to establish and to disseminate best practices, helped prepare a transactional handbook for use by both clients and attorneys, and participated in the development of a web-based knowledge management system for the global M&A practice group.

Her practice areas at Harrison Law include business transactions and corporate governance.

Eileen was appointed by the Department of Treasury as one of three Illinois representatives to the IRS Taxpayer Advocacy Panel, a federal advisory committee to the National Taxpayer Advocate. She has done a wide variety of pro bono work, including, through Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, representing borrowers seeking to restructure delinquent home loans during the mediation stage of Cook County foreclosure proceedings.
